8 More to Go

Yesterday afternoon we played game 6 of the quarterfinal series on the road. We knew that we had 2 games to win 1 but a loss last night would have left our season up to chance. Game 7 is a scary idea to the team that is 'supposed' to win.
The game started off fast, up and down hockey, a few chances for both teams. Toward the end of the first period we were able to get on the score board. Our captain Jonas Anderson scored on a 3-2. Jonas is a high risk high return type player, sometimes as a goalie I get frustrated with him in our end but this round he had 11 points. There is no arguing he was very good for us this series! We held on to the 1-0 lead into the 2nd period but they scored on the breakdown in our end (Jonas) and it ended up behind me after it hit a couple bodies. With the game tied, we picked up our play and I felt very confident going into the third. Bryan Lundbohm, who was brought here in December to be a playoff player, gave us the lead in the third and we held on to it...the shots ended up 43-28 in their favor but once again on March 14th..things went my way. Happy Birthday Joe
Next Up is Stavanger, we went 3-3 against them this year...
