We are in the hunt for the semi-finals. We lost a heartbreaker on Wednesday on the road. We took a 1-0 lead out of the first period and we were playing well. However, they played with more desperation. They tied the game in the 2nd, as they took advantage of an extra long shift and a few mistakes all around. Then in the third there was up and down action but neither team could score until the 12:50 mark when they converted on a nice 2 on 4 play to take the lead. Yes that is right a 2 on 4 and their two Slovak players made us all look silly! We got the game tied on the power-play with only 3 minutes to play. But, we had a meltdown and they score with 40 seconds left in regulation. Now we found ourselves in a best of 3 series.
Tonight was better though, we found a way to win. Here is the link to the highlights
